Welcome to theCaribbean australia association |
ABOUT US The CAA was founded in 1975 to assist new immigrants from the Caribbean settle into the Australian scene and provide a forum for members to engage with the Australian population to foster, promote and share friendship and an understanding of each other’s culture and customs. Another key objective of the Association is to provide a wide variety of social events with a West Indian flavour and generally family orientated. |
Some of these are sport days, food tastings, Carnival fancy dress dance, Shark and Bake and Dine Outs. We also have the perennial premier events that are now tradition for the association; i.e. Easter “pot in the Park”, the Christmas Children's Party and New Year's Eve FĂȘte. The CAA members maintain as a focus the passing on of the Caribbean culture to those born in Australia and to other Australians who have an interest in, or enjoyment of the carefree West Indian way of life. |
